Unmask Your Self. Unchain Your Life.

We all wear masks — ways of coping and fitting in that once helped us, but now may hold us back.

In counselling, I help you recognise where these masks come from, release what no longer fits, and rediscover your authentic self.

This opens space for living with more freedom, connection, and alignment with your values

As an expat, I connect easily with clients from diverse cultures, while my Maths and Physics background helps me bring structure and evidence into the process.

Can you relate to this?

  • Want to live by your values, but feel stuck in compromises.

  • Caught in repeating cycles of self-defeating thoughts and behaviours.

  • Exhausted from masking, yet doubt you’d be accepted as you are.

  • Struggle with anxiety, overthinking, and racing thoughts.

  • Find decision-making hard, as every choice feels wrong.

  • Facing an existential crisis, questioning meaning.

  • Feel lonely and struggle to form deep, fulfilling relationships.

Many of my clients are used to understanding complex concepts and solving unusual problems — yet when it comes to their own feelings, life can feel much harder.

If this resonates with you, counselling can be a space to explore these struggles — with care, curiosity, and support.

My Approach

I base my work primarily on schema therapy, which helps identify patterns of behaviour, thoughts, and emotions that contribute to feelings of being stuck. We work with all aspects of human experience, such as emotions, thoughts, behaviours, and experiences, to break free from the influence of childhood trauma and develop flexible ways of responding to life’s challenges.

For existential questions—such as those related to death, life’s meaning, choice, loneliness, or chronic conditions—I draw on ideas from existential psychotherapy and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy).

In certain cases, when a specific goal needs to be achieved, I also incorporate coaching techniques.

My Professional Values

I combine scientific evidence with respect for each client’s unique experience.

Therapy often explores childhood experiences and trauma, but my focus is also on helping you set meaningful goals and supporting you in moving towards them.

Together, we look at patterns in your life that may be causing difficulties and work on changing them to improve your wellbeing.

My professional values:

  • Honesty – creating a space where you feel fully accepted, while speaking openly about difficult topics.

  • Equality – you are the expert in your own life; I am here to work alongside you as an equal.

  • Choice – therapy helps you see options where life once felt predetermined.

The Process of Counselling

When you get in touch, we’ll arrange a free 15 minute online call. This is a chance for us to see if I’m the right therapist for you.

In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you to counselling, how my approach might help, and go over some important points about how we’ll work together.

In the following sessions, we’ll explore your concerns in more detail and set goals and a plan for therapy together. After that, we’ll work collaboratively to move towards those goals.

I naturally value structure and clarity, and I’m happy to bring some structure into our sessions. At the same time, I believe therapy should provide space for all your feelings and ideas. Together, we’ll find the right balance for you.

Each session is 50 minutes. Please send me a message if you’d like to know more about the cost.

Managing Expectations

I primarily offer long-term, open-ended counselling, with weekly sessions. I try to keep the same time each week to provide consistency.

Therapy is not a quick fix — it requires consistency, reflection, and effort.

I work with adults who are self-motivated to explore their experiences and make changes in their lives. Therapy is most effective when the desire to change comes from you, not someone else.

Please note, this is not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or experiencing suicidal thoughts, please contact your GP, local healthcare provider, or a mental health hotline.

For UK residents, you can call Samaritans at 116 123 or send a text message SHOUT to 85258.
